Backyard

Yesterday the fiance and I spent quite a bit of time working on the backyard. We bought gravel, rocks, and yet another plant.

Its all starting to come together. I can't wait until the plants are full grown so I can really see how it will all tun out. A couple of the plants are annuals but mostly I only got perennials so they can grow very large.

We also put up the birdhouse and the bird feeder I got. Now I just need to find a bird bath that I like. Even though everything is very small right now its already starting to have an effect. I have seen more little birds in my backyard then ever before. Even more honey bees then I am used to.
Above are pictures of just part of the backyard.

Next Blog >>

I have found some of the best blogs by using the Next Blog >> button at the top of the screen.

I can spend hours just hitting that button waiting to come across a blog that catches my interest. I have found fantastic sites about fashion in New York City and Los Angeles. I discovered an Iranian man who photographs people he meets on the street. I saw a blog about a man in the San Francisco area who ferments his own food to make breads, wines, and other creations. I saw a blog done by a painter in Maine. I have read about people's families, children and pets. People of all ages blog and whether or not anything is relevant a lot of it is interesting. So I encourage you, start hitting that button, you will be amazed at what you can learn and discover.

My only complaint about using the Next Blog button is that you don't have the option of only looking at blogs in English. I'm sure those other blogs are interesting but I just can't read them. Oh well, just have to hit the button an extra time to move to the next one.

Go to College to see..... a Porno Movie?

According to a Sacramento Bee news article I read today UC Davis will be showing a pornography movie on campus in their chemistry lecture hall.

And it's not just UC Davis, it's also UCLA, Carnegie Mellon University, and a handful other campuses also.

I guess the porn flick is being shown for free at campuses who would like to show it. I get why the maker of the film would want to show it. I'm sure it gives great publicity.

Do I have something against it? Not really. Just not something I have seen at my campus. I'm sure anyone who goes to see it probably watches them outside of the school anyway. Its just weird to me thinking about going into a lecture room to watch a porno with a bunch of classmates. And what if one of your teachers showed up? How weird! But to each his own.

Allergies

I have never in my life suffered from any type of allergy. Why today then?

Growing up in the Sacramento Valley in California I have always heard. If you don't have allergies now you will get them! Everyone always does.... Well, I never believed them. Not me I thought, never. But here I am at work just wishing I could breathe through my nose.

During lunch I ran over to a local store and picked up their version of Clariton. Its not helping yet. I have no idea how long it takes. I'm just hoping it starts to work before I have to get on my bus to go home. Nobody ever appreciates the person sitting next to them blowing their nose.

I really hope this allergy thing is just caused by the wind we have had lately. I get married in a few weeks. This is one of the last things I want to deal with on that day.

Conficker Worm

Today is the day the Conficker Worm is scheduled to change its programming. Will it make any difference in my life? I have no idea. As far as I know none of my computers have been infected. But is it something I am going to worry about? Absolutely not. I have nothing better to do then be on the Internet so I'm not going to stop that just because of some worm.

Have you been infected by this worm? Don't know how to tell? Well from what I hear the easiest way to find out is to attempt to log into Microsoft's website or into any major virus protection website. Supposedly the Conficker Worm blocks these sites to make it more difficult for you to get rid of it.

Oh yeah, and if you know who is responsible for this worm Microsoft is offering a $250,000 bounty for any information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible. I sure wish I knew em'.

Fish Tycoon

I just bought a new application for my ipod touch called Fish Tycoon. It is such an addicting game!! I highly recommend trying it out.

Basically in the game it is your job to grow and breed different species of fish. The goal is to unlock 7 of the special species in the game. As you breed your fish you also have to run your business successfully. So you raise and sell the fish to try and turn a profit. With the money you earn you can buy new products to put in your fish tanks.

The game is played in real time so it isn't something you can beat in a day. It forces you to be patient. It is easily worth the $1.99 it costs to download.
